Born and raised in Germany, one of Martin's first international

Winners", who had the #1 hit "Go for Gold", which was used as
the tile song of the Summer Olympic Games in Seoul.
Several bands later, Martin enjoyed nationwide success with his
original band What4 thanks to being featured on Germany's biggest private TV
station ProSieben which had picked up one of Martin's original compositions,
"All Behind." The band subsequently shared the stage with national
acts such as No Angels and DJ Ötzi. Around that time Martin started receiving
phone calls from other bands or artists asking him to play bass on their
recordings, or be a stand-in player for bands whose regular bassist dropped
As a solo artist, Martin released a CD in 2005 together with
internationally acclaimed session drummer Gregg Bissonette. The CD "Bass
Invader" received praising reviews from magazines all over the world. He
toured Europe extensively with the bands Darkseed, Eisbrecher, and The Roxx,
supporting singer Graham Bonnet.
In 2008 Martin relocated from Munich, Germany to Los Angeles,
CA. Now living in the United States, and with over 2,000 live performances, TV

2010 has brought Martin to Las Vegas, NV, where he is currently writing and recording new original music. In addition, he is in the progress of writing his first instructional book which will be catering to the advanced bass player. He continues to work as a versatile studio and session bassist, having worked with Dale Bozzio's Missing Persons, Hal Blaine and Don Randi of the Wrecking Crew, and performing with the Las Vegas Jazz Trio, and in the solo band of London's frontman Nadir Dpriest.
Hey there! My name is Jared Cattoor and I am a professional musician. I grew up in St. Louis, Missouri in the USA. I studied music in 2 universities there, and then went to Musicians Institute in Hollywood CA (GIT). I have played in a ton of bands with different styles, and I have a lot of knowledge and experience with booking shows, marketing, performing, writing music, teaching, recording and really in most areas of the world of music.
I love music philosophy... So much about being a great musician is how you think about music so that is really important to me. I love having solid timing and a great groove! The ear is really important to me. Being able to play anything you hear is really what we need to work on as musicians. Then you don't need any help... no tabs, sheets... Just ears. When I solo I prefer to create an idea and a melody. Then ornament the melody. Thats how a solo should be. Listen to what is in your head rather than letting your hands (muscle memory) and ego take over. Put MUSIC first 😀
I love playing more than anything.. Music is my passion and what I use to share my gift with the world. So here I am on Drooble letting you know that I can teach you and help you expand as well. Please contact me if you are interested in taking lessons with me or just to chat 😁
